The six-year-old is on his way back from Australia, where he contested the Group 1 Cox Plate and Group 1 Mackinnon Stakes.

He placed a commendable sixth in the $3 million Cox Plate, before winning the $1 million Mackinnon Stakes by almost a length in his next run.

Side Glance has won eight of his 30 race starts in total and is looking to add the 2013 Hong Kong Cup to his list of victories.

David Redvers, racing manager at Pearl Bloodstock, is confident that Side Glance has what it takes to win the 2013 Hong Kong Cup.

“Side Glance is definitely going for the Hong Kong Cup,” Redvers said.

“He did his final piece of work on Friday morning and is in great order.”

“We go to Hong Kong in top form and I think it’s exactly the right race for him. We just need to hope we get a reasonable draw and then we will leave the rest to Jamie (Spencer).

“He won the Mackinnon Stakes well and I was delighted with his performance.

“He ran a bit fresh when sixth in the Cox Plate because it was his first run for a while, but that put him spot on for the Mackinnon and he won in the style of a much better horse than the opposition.” is the best place to find all the best online racing and sports betting odds!
